The short version
There is no account system, no contact form that stores your numbers, and no server-side database of loan scenarios. Everything you type into a calculator is processed by JavaScript in your browser and never transmitted to us. The only persistent storage is your currency preference, kept in your browser's local storage.
Information we do not collect
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses
- Loan amounts, balances, income figures or any other number entered into a calculator
- Social security numbers, account numbers or credit information
- Precise location data
Local storage
The calculators store a single preference key (loanmath:currency) in your browser so that the currency you select persists between visits. It contains a three-letter currency code and nothing else. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site data settings; the calculators will keep working and default to US dollars.
Cookies and advertising
LoanMath is supported by advertising. When ads are enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message is shown before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link in that message.
If analytics are enabled in future, they will be configured with IP anonymization and without advertising personalization. This policy will be updated before that happens.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights under the GDPR to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability; if you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Requests about advertising data should be directed to Google as the controller for that processing; requests about this site can be sent to hello@mergaset.com or through the contact page.
Children
This site is intended for adults managing loans and mortgages. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
External links
Some pages link to government or consumer-information sites, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and following a link takes you outside LoanMath's control.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If advertising or analytics providers change, the relevant section will be rewritten rather than appended to.
